Discord Bot
The Very Discord Bot helps Discord server administrators verify their members by linking their Discord accounts with their Very accounts. Once verified, members automatically receive access roles and can participate in your server.
Getting Started
Step 1: Add the Bot to Your Server
Click the button below to invite the Very Discord Bot to your server:
The bot requires the following permissions:
Send Messages
Manage Roles
Read Messages/View Channels
Use Slash Commands
Step 2: Set Up Verification
Once the bot is in your server, you'll need to configure it. First, make sure you have:
A verified role created in your server (this role will be assigned to verified members)
A channel where you want the verification button to appear (typically a welcome or verification channel)
Then, use the /setup-palm-verify-button command:
/setup-palm-verify-button verification-channel:#welcome verified-role:@VerifiedRequired Parameters:
verification-channel: The channel where the verification button will be postedverified-role: The role to assign after successful verification
Optional Parameters:
embed-title: Custom title for the verification message (default: "Get verified")embed-description: Custom description textlog-channel: Channel to log verification activitiesembed-color: Hex color for the embed message (e.g.,af2626)
Step 3: Members Verify
Once set up, members can:
Click the verification button in the configured channel
Click the verification link they receive via ephemeral messages in the same channel
Authorize with their Very account
Automatically receive the verified role
That's it! The bot handles everything automatically.
Commands
/setup-palm-verify-button
/setup-palm-verify-buttonSets up the verification button in your server. This is the main command you'll use to configure verification.
Example:
/verify-palm
/verify-palmManually send a verification link to a specific user. Useful for admins who want to help members get verified.
Parameters:
user: The user to verifyrole: The verified role to assign
Example:
/unassign-role
/unassign-roleRemove a verified role from a user. This also removes their verification record.
Parameters:
user: The user to unassign the role fromrole: The role to remove

Important Notes
Role Hierarchy
Make sure the bot's role in your server is higher than the verified role you want it to assign. You can adjust role positions in Server Settings > Roles.
Verification Sessions
Verification links expire after 15 minutes for security. If a link expires, members can simply click the verification button again to get a new link.
Troubleshooting
Bot Not Responding
Make sure the bot is online (check the member list)
Verify the bot has the required permissions
Try using the command again (Discord commands can take a moment to register)
Verification Not Working
Check that the bot's role is above the verified role in the role hierarchy
Ensure the bot has "Manage Roles" permission
Verify that the verification button was set up correctly using
/setup-palm-verify-button
Role Not Being Assigned
Check the role hierarchy (bot's role must be above the verified role)
Verify the bot has "Manage Roles" permission
Make sure the role isn't managed by another integration
